Commerce Minister Jam Kamal Khan said that Pakistan is Turkiye’s second home


Islamabad: 24 agreements and Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) were signed between Pakistan and Turkiye, through which cooperation between the two countries in various sectors including trade and defense will be further expanded.
According to the details, a ceremony was held in Islamabad in which Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, trade ministers of both countries and relevant officers, including high-ranking officials, attended.
24 MoUs were signed between the two countries at the ceremony. These were signed by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the Turkish President, and documents were exchanged later.
Pak-Turkiye trade ministers meet
Earlier, Commerce Minister Jam Kamal Khan and Turkish Trade Minister Omer Bolat met in Islamabad. The two countries agreed to further strengthen trade and investment relations.

Turkish Minister Omer Bolat said that the close relationship between President Erdogan and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has promoted bilateral cooperation.
Pakistan and Turkiye discussed making the Preferential Trade Agreement (PTA) effective. The D-8 discussed the revival and strengthening of the preferential trade agreement.
Turkish Minister Bolat said that Turkish companies are ready to invest more in Pakistan.
The meeting proposed a ‘Made in Pakistan’ expo to showcase Pakistani products in Turkey. Turkiye will take steps to increase exports of Pakistani basmati rice.
Pakistan invited Turkiye to participate in the Healthcare and Industrial Expo to be held in April.
The two agreed to increase defense cooperation, joint production, and exchange of technology between Turkiye and Pakistan.
