During the visit, PM Shehbaz and Erdogan jointly chaired seventh meeting of Pak-Turkey High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council


Islamabad: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan returned home after completing his visit to Pakistan with the resolve to increase the trade volume between Pakistan and Turkey to $5 billion and transform bilateral relations into a strategic partnership.
Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif warmly welcomed Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan at Nur Khan Airbase on Thursday.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar, and senior officials also accompanied the Prime Minister on this occasion.
Photo albums of the visit were also presented to the Turkish President and the First Lady.
It is pertinent to note that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan paid a two-day visit to Pakistan at the invitation of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
During the visit, Shehbaz Sharif and Tayyip Erdogan jointly chaired the seventh meeting of the Pak-Turkey High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council.
A joint statement was issued at the end of the session and 24 important agreements and MoUs were signed.
President Erdogan also held separate meetings with Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and President Asif Ali Zardari.
The Turkish President addressed the Pakistan-Turkey Business and Investment Forum, which was attended by leading investors, companies, and businesspeople from both sides.
