Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi met US President Donald Trump at the White House


Washington: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with US President Donald Trump, in which the US President announced to provide oil and gas to India, while the two countries also reiterated their commitment to work together against terrorism.
According to a foreign news agency, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in the US on a two-day visit on Thursday, accompanied by a seven-member delegation.
In Washington, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with Trump's close associate and head of Tesla Company Elon Musk. Only Musk's family, including his three young children, were present on the occasion.

On this occasion, US President Donald Trump said that he was happy to meet the Indian Prime Minister, and that we have a lot of oil and gas that we can provide to India.
US President Trump said that today he discussed with the Indian Prime Minister further strengthening relations between the two countries and reducing the US trade deficit with India.
Trump said that the US trade deficit with India is $100 million, reached final issues related to oil and gas with the Indian Prime Minister, are working with India in many areas including energy, electricity, and AI.
US President Trump mentioned the Mumbai attacks in the press conference and said that we will fight extremist terrorists together with India.
Trump expressed his willingness to extradite Pakistani-Canadian Tahoor Rana, allegedly involved in the Mumbai attacks, from the US to India.
The US President said that he would give India military equipment worth several billion dollars, including the F-35, US-India relations are stronger today than ever and were not good during the Biden era.
Trump announced that there will be the same tariffs with India as it imposes on the US.
On the other hand, the Indian Prime Minister congratulated Donald Trump on being elected President on behalf of India. ‘I am happy that I am getting the opportunity to work with Trump again’.
Modi stated that he was happy that upon arriving here, Trump reminded him of the Ahmedabad Namaste Trump. ‘I am sure that in Trump's second term, the relations between the two countries will move forward at the same pace, and in the coming four years, the two countries will work at a faster pace’.
Indian Prime Minister Modi said that today too, he saw the same warmth that he saw in Trump's first term. The US-India relations are for mega prosperity. He talked to the US President about doubling the volume of bilateral trade and increasing cooperation with the US in the field of nuclear energy.
The Indian Prime Minister invited American universities to open campuses in India and US President Trump to visit India.
Modi said that America wants to make itself great, we also want to make India great and will increase cooperation with America in the field of nuclear energy.
In addition, the Indian Prime Minister also vowed to increase defense cooperation with America.
Modi said that America and India will work together in AI and semiconductor technology. America and India will also work together to establish peace in the Indo-Pacific region, and concrete steps are needed to end cross-border terrorism.
Narendra Modi added that the purpose of our meeting is not one and one two, but one and one eleven. He has learned one thing from Trump he puts national interest at the top of the priorities. He is happy that Trump spoke to Putin to end the war. India is not neutral, India has its position and that is peace.
The Indian Prime Minister stated that he had told the Russian President that this was not a time for war, but for peace. From the beginning, the position has been that war is not the solution to the problem, but negotiations.
Earlier, in Modi's meeting with Elon Musk, discussions were held on the provision of the internet service Starlink in the South Asian market.
