More than 25 were injured in accident, including women and children


Khairpur: 16 people were killed and more than 25 were injured when a coach carrying pilgrims from Lahore to attend the Urs of Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar overturned on the national highway in Khairpur.
According to the details, a coach carrying pilgrims going to attend the Urs of Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar overturned due to high speed on the national highway in Ranipur tehsil of Khairpur.
16 pilgrims were killed and more than 25 were injured in the accident, including women and children. Upon receiving information about the accident, rescue and police officials reached the spot, and shifted the bodies and injured to Gambat and Ranipur hospitals.
The passenger bus was going from Lahore to Haroonabad Sehwan when the accident occurred.
A large number of locals also reached the accident site and tried to help the administration.
