IHC summoned Superintendent of Adiala Jail on Feb 27 in person

Islamabad: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has summoned the superintendent of Adiala Jail in person for not allowing the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)founder to meet his wife.
Acting Chief Justice of the IHC Sarfaraz Dogar heard a contempt of court petition for not allowing PTI founder to meet his wife Bushra Bibi following the court order.
While giving arguments in court, the PTI founder’s lawyer Faisal Chaudhry said that the court order regarding the meeting with the PTI founder has not been implemented yet. On January 28, the jail superintendent had stated in the court about the PTI founder meeting with Bushra Bibi.
Faisal Chaudhry said that despite the jail superintendent’s statement, Bushra Bibi is not being allowed to meet the PTI founder.
The court asked the State Council why the court order was not implemented, and ordered to ensure implementation of the order.
Later, the IHC summoned the Superintendent of Adiala Jail on February 27 in person and adjourned the hearing.
