Budget of PM’s Ramadan Relief Package has been estimated at Rs20.5 billion


Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has issued orders to the IT Ministry regarding the Ramadan package.
According to media reports, the short code 9999 will be used for the Prime Minister’s Ramadan Relief Package. The IT Ministry will ensure that the short code is used to verify the messages of the Ramadan package.
The IT Ministry has also been assigned the task of matching the identity cards with mobile numbers. A control room will be set up in the NTC for the Ramadan Relief Package.
It is also reported that under the Prime Minister’s Ramadan Relief Package, it is proposed to give cash to 3.9 million families. Under the package, a one-time cash assistance of Rs5,000 is proposed for each deserving family.
The budget of the Prime Minister’s Ramadan Relief Package has been estimated at Rs20.5 billion.
