Advisory for those visiting Murree

After snowfall in Murree, the Deputy Commissioner Murree has issued a traffic advisory for tourists.

According to DC Murree, tourists should check the weather conditions before traveling to Murree and Galiyat. Travel in a mechanically sound vehicle, keep the petrol tank full, carry food and dry fruits, drive the vehicle in low gear, use snow chains, avoid wrong parking to maintain traffic flow, and avoid making videos and photos while driving.

PDMA spokesperson says that more rain and snowfall are likely in Murree for the next 24 hours. Traffic flow may be affected due to rain and snowfall; however, the administration is sprinkling salt on the roads.

Meanwhile, the Relief Commissioner has ordered the Murree administration to remain alert and said that no negligence should be shown. 13 facilitation centers have been established in Murree to guide tourists. Citizens should be careful and avoid unnecessary travel. In case of emergency, contact PDMA's helpline 1129.
