Covid-19: Pakistan reports lowest daily death toll since May
Islamabad: Pakistan has reported lowest number of Covid-19 deaths in three months.
Pakistan is presently experiencing the third wave of coronavirus which is said to be deadlier and more contagious than previous two waves but some data suggested the spread of the disease has been contained.
According to National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), around 1,517 cases of coronavirus were reported while 17 people succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the total death toll to 22,469.
The total number of confirmed cases reached to 966,007.
As many as 909,525 patients have recovered from the disease with 1,968 critical cases.
Punjab
The number of patients swelled to 347,180 in the province with 10,791 causalities.
Sindh
The number of infections has surged to 342,228 in the province, while the death toll has reached 5,536.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
The confirmed cases have surged to 138,727 in the province with 4,346 casualties.
Balochistan
There are 27,502 confirmed cases while 315 patients have died from the infection so far.
AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan
There are 20,641 coronavirus cases in the AJK while the death toll has reached 589. On the other hand, there are 6,574 cases in GB with 111 coronavirus deaths.
Islamabad
There are 83,155 cases in the capital city while 781 people have lost their lives.
