According to media reports, Khattak will announce his decision on February 22

(Web Desk): Former Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Pervez Khattak has decided to join the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) party and will announce his decision on February 22.
Khattak, a former leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), met with JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman to confirm his decision. His brother, Liaqat Khattak, was also present at the meeting.
The two leaders had detailed discussions before finalizing the move. Khattak will make the official announcement during a press conference in Manki Sharif, Nowshera, alongside Rehman.
Khattak was the provincial president of PTI in KP and served as the chief minister from 2013 to 2018. However, in June 2023, he resigned from all PTI positions following the May 9 incident and Imran Khan's arrest. Soon after, he announced the formation of a new party, ‘Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Parliamentarians’.
