Champions Trophy: Australia thrash England by five wickets

Lahore: Australia defeated England by five wickets in a thriller match of the Champions Trophy on Saturday.  

Earlier, England set a 352-run target for Australia in an important Champions Trophy being played at Qaddafi Stadium, Lahore.

In the fourth match of the Champions Trophy 2025, Australia won the toss and decided to field against England on Saturday.

According to the details, the fourth match of the series is being played at Qaddafi Stadium in Lahore.

Australia captain Steve Smith said that it was raining here at night during their practice, so they decided to bowl first.

England captain Jos Buttler said that if they had won the toss, they would have preferred to bat. The players are confident and excited for this match.

It is pertinent to note that in the first match of the ICC Champions Trophy, New Zealand defeated the host Pakistan by 60 runs, while in the second match, India defeated Bangladesh by 6 wickets.

In the match played in Karachi yesterday, South Africa defeated Afghanistan by 107 runs.

It is pertinent to note that this is the first match both teams are playing in the series.
