During visit, several agreements will be signed in various fields of cooperation between two countries


Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif departs from Lahore for a two-day official visit to Azerbaijan.
According to a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office Press Wing, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif will visit the Republic of Azerbaijan from February 24 to 25, 2025, at the invitation of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
This is Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s second visit to Azerbaijan since assuming office in March 2024.
During the visit, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Federal Ministers Jam Kamal Khan, Abdul Aleem Khan, Chaudhry Salik Hussain, Attaullah Tarar, and Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi will accompany the Prime Minister.
During the visit, the Prime Minister will have a bilateral meeting with the President of Azerbaijan and also address a business forum. The discussions will focus on areas of mutual interest to enhance cooperation in energy, trade, defense, education, and climate sectors.
During the visit, several memorandums of understanding and agreements will be signed in various fields of cooperation between the two countries.
The Prime Minister’s visit reflects Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening relations with Azerbaijan, promoting broader economic cooperation, and exploring new avenues for partnership in mutual development.
