Minister says National Crypto Council will assist in policy-making and regulation

Islamabad: Finance Minister Mohammad Aurangzeb said that the government will consider the establishment of a National Crypto Council, which will assist in policy-making and regulation.
During a meeting at the Ministry of Finance, the Finance Minister stated that the National Crypto Council will consist of government institutions, regulatory authorities, and industry experts. It will help in the formulation of international standard regulations and ensure inclusion in the global digital economy, he added.
The Finance Minister also directed to ensure the regulation of digital assets in line with the FATF guidelines.
