Famous American actress Michelle Trachtenberg has died at the age of 39.
American actress Michelle Trachtenberg was known for her outstanding performances in popular dramas such as Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Gossip Girl.
According to police, an emergency call was received from her apartment in New York City at 8:00am on Wednesday, where she was found unconscious.
Police say that medical personnel confirmed her death at the scene, and initial investigations do not suspect any criminal activity.
According to media reports, Michelle had recently undergone a liver transplant and may have died of natural causes, but a medical examination is underway to determine the final cause of death.
Fellow artists and friends have expressed deep sorrow over the actress's sudden death. Her Gossip Girl co-star Ed Westwick expressed his feelings on Instagram, saying that it was very sad news.
It is pertinent to note that Michelle Trachtenberg began her career at the age of 3 and worked in shows such as The Adventures of Pete and Pete and All My Children.
In 1996, she played the lead role in Harriet the Spy.
From 2000 to 2003, she appeared in the role of Dawn Summers in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and in Gossip Girl, she played the role of Georgina Sparks.
