‘Mustafa's last court appearance took place on January 6, just few hours before he was killed’

Karachi: The Anti-Narcotics Court in Karachi has officially removed the name of Mustafa Amir, a deceased individual, from a drug case. Mustafa, who was tragically murdered earlier this year, had appeared in court just hours before his death.
According to the investigation officer's report, Mustafa Amir was arrested on January 31, 2024. His bail, along with that of co-accused Nauman Yaqub, was granted on March 20, 2024. Mustafa's last court appearance took place on January 6, just a few hours before he was killed. Despite his death, arrest warrants for him were still issued until February 22.
Mustafa’s two associates, Mia Ammar Hamid and Faisal Yaqub, are currently absconding, and their whereabouts remain unknown.
The 25-year-old, a resident of Defense, was reported missing on January 6, 2024. His mother filed a missing person report, which later turned into a kidnapping case after a ransom call was received on January 25. Following the discovery of his body, a murder case was filed, bringing to light the grim circumstances surrounding his death. Authorities continue to investigate the case.
