Kulbhushan was sentenced to death by a military court

Lahore: It has been nine years since the arrest of Indian intelligence agency RAW spy Commander Kulbhushan Jadhav from Balochistan on March 3, 2016.
Commander Kulbhushan was arrested from Balochistan while he was on a secret visit with his local aides. After his arrest, Kulbhushan told Pakistan that he was an Indian Navy officer who was doing intelligence work.
For this purpose, he also started a business in the Chabahar region of Iran under the name Hussain Mubarak Patel to continue his work.
In April 2017, Kulbhushan was sentenced to death by a military court, against which India also knocked on the door of the International Court of Justice. However, Pakistan later allowed Kulbhushan to meet his mother.
In 2021, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government also passed a law from the parliament regarding consular access to Kulbhushan, but he is still in Pakistani custody.
Kulbhushan's arrest added a new chapter to the already strained relations between Pakistan and India, while also being clear evidence of Pakistan's intelligence superiority.
