White House official says that they are stopping aid and reviewing it to make sure it is contributing to a solution

Washington: US President Donald Trump has stopped all military aid to Ukraine.
According to a White House official, President Trump has made it clear that his focus is on peace, and our partners need to be committed to that goal as well.
A White House official says that they are stopping aid and reviewing it to make sure it is contributing to a solution.
Earlier on Monday, US President Donald Trump threatened Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, hinting that he would not be here for long if he did not reach a ceasefire agreement with Russia.
Talking to the media about the ceasefire deal in Ukraine, the US President said that a deal could be made soon. It should not be a difficult deal, but if someone does not want to make it, then they will not be here for long.
It is pertinent to note that Ukrainian President Zelensky arrived in Washington on Friday to meet with the US President at the White House to sign an agreement, under which Ukraine’s vast mineral resources were to be jointly used. This was part of the post-war reconstruction under a US-brokered peace agreement.
But it was canceled after a heated debate during the Ukrainian president’s meeting with US President Donald Trump at the White House.
On the other hand, a 25 percent tariff on Canada and Mexico will take effect today from the US, and additional amounts on US imports from China will also be applied from today.
The US president has declared a deal on the issue of tariffs with Canada or Mexico impossible.
Meanwhile, the US stock market has seen a decline after the tariffs on Canada and Mexico were implemented today. For the first time in 2025, the S&P 500 fell 1.8 percent in a day.
In addition, there has also been a decline in the shares of the world's top technology companies.
