Karachi: The Federal Anti-Corruption Court acquitted Senate Chairman Yousuf Raza Gilani in three cases in the TDAP corruption case.
The TDAP corruption case was heard in the Federal Anti-Corruption Court, and Senate Chairman Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani also appeared in the court.
The court accepted Yousuf Raza Gilani’s acquittal request in three cases and acquitted him.
Talking to the media in Karachi after the hearing of the case, Senate Chairman Gilani said that this case was made against him in 2009, today all the promissory notes have become accused and have fled the country.
He stated that the case against him was made by the current coalition government. He has no grudge against them. ‘We will fully support the government, and not backstep the coalition government. President Asif Zardari and Chairman Bilawal Bhutto will jointly state their position’.
The Chairman Senate added that another member of the Senate was removed yesterday. I will ask the federal and Punjab governments to make him present, if he does not attend the parliament session tomorrow, I will issue a production order.
Yousaf Raza Gilani further said: “I do everything according to the book of the constitution. I have always followed the law. Yesterday I saw that many talk shows were held and planted people were sitting. People are saying that we go for tours and do not sit in the house, it is necessary to go on official visits, they cannot defame the country”.
