According to new SRO, an officer’s case can be considered only twice for promotion in Grade 22

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has changed the civil servant promotion rules.
The Establishment Division has issued a new SRO regarding the change in the civil servant promotion rules.
According to the new SRO, an officer’s case can be considered only twice for promotion in Grade 22. If the case is considered twice and the promotion is not granted, the case will not be considered again. An officer of any service group will then be considered to have retired in his previous grade.
On the other hand, a notification of the change in the rules was issued in the Gazette of Pakistan.
