Maryam Nawaz has doubled the amount of Journalists Endowment Fund


Lahore: The Punjab government has increased the amount of the Journalists Support Fund from Rs50 million to Rs100 million.
A meeting of the Journalists Support Fund was held under the chairmanship of Punjab Information Minister Azma Bokhari, in which Additional Information Secretary Muhammad Nawaz Gondal, Deputy Secretary Finance Rafia Qayyum, President Lahore Press Club Arshad Ansari, and others were present.
Speaking during the meeting, Punjab Information Minister Azma said that Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has doubled the amount of the Journalists Endowment Fund for the welfare of Punjab journalists from Rs50 million to Rs100 million. Maryam Nawaz is taking revolutionary and historic steps for Punjab journalists.
She stated that the process of the Himmat Card and Health Card for journalists will be completed soon. Maryam Nawaz is working to protect the rights of journalists, and solving the problems of the journalist community is at the top of the priorities of the Punjab government.
The meeting approved the release of support funds for 85 journalists from Punjab, the marriage of 23 journalists' daughters, and the release of funds for medical treatment for 63 journalists. The applications of journalists who were left behind due to lack of funds will be entertained in the next quarter.
