Dubai Police urge fans to behave responsibly, show sportsmanship, and avoid illegal activities

(Web Desk): Dubai Police have warned sports spectators that breaking laws during stadium events could lead to imprisonment for one to three months or hefty fines ranging from Rs380,000 to Rs2,285,000 (AED 5,000 to AED 30,000).
The warning follows recent incidents where fans disrupted games, including a cricket field intrusion after India’s semi-final victory over Australia at Dubai Cricket Stadium. Additionally, several football fans were arrested for using marine distress signals, which created safety risks for everyone at the events.
The police also issued a caution by releasing photos of offenders with their faces blurred as a public warning. They stressed that dangerous items, such as fireworks or flammable materials, are not allowed in stadiums and will lead to severe penalties. Acts of violence, racism, or political behavior during events will not be tolerated, and strict legal actions will be taken against those responsible.
Throwing objects or liquids at players or fans could result in fines ranging from Rs761,000 to Rs2,285,000 (AED 10,000 to AED 30,000). These regulations are part of UAE Federal Law, which aims to protect the security and safety of sports events and the rights of players and fans. Dubai Police are urging fans to behave responsibly, showing sportsmanship, and avoiding illegal activities. They reassured the public that safety will be prioritized at all events, and any violations will be dealt with seriously.
