Dubai: India's star batsman Virat Kohli has suffered an injury ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy final against New Zealand.

The ICC Champions Trophy final will be played between India and New Zealand in Dubai on Sunday.

Kohli suffered a minor injury during net practice at the International Cricket Council Academy on Friday ahead of the final.

According to the report, Kohli was facing fast bowling in the nets when a fastball hit his knee, after which he immediately stopped the practice.

The Indian team's physio staff immediately examined Kohli, sprayed him, and bandaged the affected area.

Despite the injury, Kohli remained on the ground and continued to watch the rest of the training session, while he informed his teammates and the coaching staff about his fitness.

Later, the Indian coaching staff clarified that Kohli's injury was not serious and he would be fully fit to play in the final.
