Another terrorist attack foiled in DG Khan border checkpost

DG Khan: Another attack by Khawarji terrorists on a border check post in Punjab’s Dera Ghazi Khan district was foiled.

According to a spokesperson for the Punjab Police, 15 to 20 terrorists attacked the border post Lakhani at dawn. Terrorists attacked from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in groups and used heavy weapons including rockets in the attack.

He said that due to the alert of the soldiers, the terrorists were identified with thermal image cameras and the police retaliated against the terrorists with machine guns and mortars, due to which the terrorists failed to reach the checkpost and were forced to retreat.

The spokesperson stated that there were reports of heavy casualties among the terrorists in the retaliatory action.

IG Punjab congratulated the soldiers who repelled the attack and said that the terrorists would be defeated on all fronts.

It is pertinent to note that six days ago, an attack by Khawarji terrorists on the Lakhani check post was foiled.
