TTP is umbrella for terrorists, Kabul authorities sponsoring attacks: Munir Akram
He added that more than 20 terrorist organizations in Afghanistan are threat to region and world

New York: Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Munir Akram, has said that the banned TTP is becoming an umbrella organization for terrorist organizations, and there is solid evidence that the Kabul authorities are sponsoring the attacks.
Addressing the UN Security Council meeting, Munir Akram, stated that the Afghan interim government has failed to deal with the threats posed to the region.
In his speech, Munir added that the TTP is the largest terrorist organization operating in Afghanistan. The banned TTP attacks Pakistan from border safe-havens.
He further said that hundreds of lives have been lost as a result of the attacks of the banned TTP. The BLA and the Majeed Brigade are also trying to sabotage Pak-China economic cooperation and there is evidence that the Kabul authorities are sponsoring these attacks. Pakistan will take all necessary steps to eliminate terrorist threats.
In addition, Pakistan’s Permanent Representative expressed deep surprise and disappointment over the lack of mention of terrorism in the UN Secretary-General’s report.
Munir Akram also stated that more than 20 terrorist organizations in Afghanistan are a threat to the region and the world. Pakistan will initiate consultations with the United Nations to formulate an appropriate course of action.
He continued to say that a working group on counter-terrorism will be established under the Doha Process.
Munir Akram also informed the Security Council about the arrest of ISIS terrorist Muhammad Sharifullah from the Pak-Afghan border.
