The train departed from Quetta at 9:30 AM today. When the train passed through the Gudalaar and Piro Kanari areas, unidentified terrorists opened fire on it. As a result, the driver was critically injured and later died from his wounds. Several passengers also lost their lives in the attack.
Eyewitnesses and Levies sources report that the incident occurred in the Muchh mountains, where the Jaffer Express was halted. The sound of gunfire continued for a long time.
