IG Punjab added that Punjab Police exercises will continue to suppress terrorists, criminal elements


Lahore: In view of the current situation in the country, the Inspector General (IG) Punjab Dr Usman Anwar ordered a high-security alert across the province, while several suspects were arrested during intelligence-based operations in the last 2 days.
According to the spokesperson of the Punjab Police, because of the security situation in the country, intelligence-based operations and mock exercises of the police are ongoing across Punjab.
IG Punjab said that during the last two days, 791 search and sweep operations and 07 mock exercises were conducted across Punjab.
During the search operations, declared habitual criminals and suspects involved in serious crimes were arrested and three Kalashnikovs, 30 guns, 21 handguns, and hundreds of bullets were recovered from the possession of the suspects, he stated.
IG Punjab added that the Punjab Police exercises will continue to suppress terrorists and criminal elements.
