Cardiff: Pakistan team Thursday faced a humiliating defeat in the hands of England by nine wickets in first ODI.

England demonstrated their remarkable strength in depth - in ODI cricket, at least - by dismissing Pakistan for just 141 in the first innings of the first ODI in.
A new look England squad thrashed Pakistan to take a 1-0 lead in a three-match series.
Pakistan set just 142 for victory, a completely altered England XI after a coronavirus outbreak within the originally selected squad, finished on 142-1 with more than 28 overs remaining.
Dawid Malan was 68 not out and Zak Crawley 58 not out, the pair sharing an unbroken stand of 120,
Earlier, fast bowler Saqib Mahmood took an ODI best 4-42 as Pakistan were dismissed for 141 with more than 14 overs of their innings left.
Despite being forced to make 11 changes to the side that played against Sri Lanka only four days ago, England's second string looked more than a match for a Pakistan team which is currently ranked No. 3 in the World Cup Super League.
