TikTok adds new features
First feature allows parents to block access to TikTok on their children's devices for specific period

Los Angeles: TikTok is introducing a new feature that its younger users may not like, but it aims to protect them.
TikTok has had a family pairing tool for a long time, which allows parents to limit their children's screen time and block specific content.
Now the app is introducing more features for this tool so that parents can see who their children are connecting with and decide when to block access to the app.
The first feature is Time Away, which allows parents to block access to TikTok on their children's devices for a specific period.
For example, they will be able to disable access to TikTok during dinner or while on vacation.
Similarly, they will be able to set a schedule for each week when access to TikTok will be disabled, although teenagers will be able to use it for additional hours with their parents' permission.
Parents will also be able to see who their children are following on TikTok or who is following them.
According to TikTok, this feature will allow parents to be more prepared for children's chats and also equip their children with digital teaching skills.
The third feature is about limiting screen time, but it is very unusual.
Under this feature, TikTok videos will disappear after 10:00pm for users under 16.
After 10:00pm, the videos will disappear from the screen and soothing music will start, although young people can turn it off and continue using the app.
