Islamabad: The Foreign Office spokesperson has said that the attack on the Jaffar Express was also carried out by a leadership based abroad and India is behind this train terrorism.
Addressing a weekly briefing at the Foreign Office, Spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan stated: “We have just completed the rescue operation on the Jaffar Express terrorism. The attack was also carried out by a leadership based abroad and India is behind the attack”.
The spokesperson added that the terrorists involved in the recent terrorism in Balochistan were in contact with their associates in Afghanistan. Traces of contacts with Afghanistan have been found in the traced calls during this incident. The terrorists have safe havens in Afghanistan and Pakistan has repeatedly demanded from the Afghan interim government to prevent terrorist groups like BLA from using its territory. Pakistan is a victim of terrorism planned from outside its borders.
“We do not discuss diplomatic contacts in this way in a public forum. In the past too, we have been sharing full details of such incidents with Afghanistan. This is a never-ending process that continues,” the FO spokesperson said further.
He also stated that our main priority in Afghanistan is the promotion of friendly and close relations. Continuation of relations in this direction is important. Terrorism is a serious problem for us. We have cooperation with many of our friends on counter-terrorism.
