Final report will reveal exact cause, but initial observations suggest that tyre was affected by possible fault or an external incident

(Web Desk): An incident has been revealed where flight PK 306 from Karachi to Lahore landed at 10 PM without one of its tyres.
According to the report, after landing at Lahore, it was discovered that one of the rear tyres was missing. Sources said that following the information from Lahore ATCO, a part of the tire shaft was found at Karachi Airport. More than 14 hours have passed, and the missing tyre has not been found at either Karachi or Lahore airports.
The report mentions that the tyre was present during takeoff from Karachi, and the aircraft made a normal landing and taxiing at Lahore airport.
A statement from the Civil Aviation spokesperson indicated that, based on initial observations, the incident might have been caused by a collision with a possible external object on the Karachi runway.
A statement from PIA's spokesperson mentioned that after the flight PK 306 departed from Karachi last night, one tire was found missing after landing in Lahore. According to aviation regulations, PIA's Flight Safety Department and Civil Aviation have initiated an investigation into the matter.
The statement further said that the final report would reveal the exact cause, but initial observations suggest that the tyre was affected by a possible fault or an external incident on the Karachi runway. The aircraft landed safely and smoothly in Lahore, and the aircraft's design is made in such a way that there is room for such an event, ensuring that aviation safety is not compromised.
