Islamabad: In a significant policy change, Pakistan’s Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) has reduced the buyback rate for solar rooftop consumers from Rs 27 per unit to Rs 10 per unit.
The decision was made during a meeting chaired by Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb.
The ECC also approved changes to the net-metering regulations to help ease the financial pressure on grid consumers, aiming to balance the growing costs.
