IHC orders to produce PTI founder via video link

Islamabad: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has ordered to produce Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder via video link or in person today.

Justice Sardar Ijaz Ishaq Khan of the IHC first summoned the Superintendent of Adiala Jail on a petition against Mashal Yousafzai’s ban on meeting PTI founder.

The Islamabad High Court ordered that the Superintendent of Adiala Jail should meet the PTI founder and ask him whether Mashal Yousafzai is the founder’s lawyer or not.

The court said that this was contempt of court order which was made with the consent of the parties in the previous hearing when the court had ordered the petitioner to meet the PTI founder.

The IHC judge said that the jail authorities were expected to comply with the court order. Prima facie the court is satisfied that the jail authorities committed contempt of court.

The court added that a list was presented before us that was given by the founder of PTI. If the court is not satisfied, it will ask the founder of PTI itself.

The court expressed its anger at the SP Jail and said that you have made a joke.

The court ordered that the PTI founder should be presented at 2:00pm through a video link. If it is to be presented through a video link, then inform the Advocate General Islamabad. If he is not presented at 2:00pm through video link, then present him in person at 3:00pm.
