Pakistan triumphs at Special Olympics World Winter Games, wins third gold medal

(Web Desk): Pakistan continues to shine at the Special Olympics World Winter Games, clinching its third gold medal at the prestigious event currently taking place in Italy.
Afaaq Khan delivered an outstanding performance in the 100-meter snowshoeing event, securing first place and winning a gold medal. This victory adds to Pakistan’s growing list of achievements at the games.
This marks the third gold medal for Pakistan in the ongoing Special Olympics World Winter Games. Earlier, Muneeb Ur Rehman claimed gold in the 50-meter cross-country skiing event, further boosting Pakistan’s medal tally. Additionally, in the women's cross-country skiing final, Pakistan's Rovena Qurban earned a silver medal, showcasing the country’s strength in winter sports.
Pakistan’s Moazim Iqbal also made history at the games by winning a gold medal in cross-country skiing. Iqbal’s remarkable achievement continued as he claimed first position in the 800-meter snowshoeing event.
The impressive performances by these athletes highlight the dedication and skill of Pakistan's winter sports contingent, making this year’s Special Olympics World Winter Games a historic success for the country.
