‘This is a war for survival of us and our future generations. We need better governance and to turn Pakistan into a hard state’

Islamabad: Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir has said, "How long will we continue to sacrifice countless lives in the manner of a soft state? How long will we fill the gaps in governance with the blood of the Pakistan Army and martyrs?"
Speaking at the National Security Parliamentary Committee, the Army Chief emphasized that the security of the country is the biggest agenda, above any movement or individual. He stated that for sustainable stability, all elements of national power must work in harmony. "This is a war for the survival of us and our future generations. We need better governance and to turn Pakistan into a hard state."
General Munir further questioned, "How long will we continue to sacrifice countless lives in the manner of a soft state? How long will we fill the gaps in governance with the blood of the Pakistan Army and martyrs?"
He also requested scholars to expose the distorted interpretation of Islam by the Kharijites.
The Army Chief stated, "If this country exists, then we exist. Hence, the security of the country is above anything else for us. For the protection of Pakistan, we must speak with one voice, setting aside political and personal interests, and adopt a narrative that counters those who think they can weaken Pakistan through these terrorists. Today, we send a message to them that we will unite and defeat not only them but also their facilitators."
General Munir affirmed, "We have full trust in Allah. Whatever happens, we will succeed."
It is noteworthy that a meeting of the National Security Parliamentary Committee was held in the National Assembly, attended by Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Army Chief General Asim Munir, along with key political and military leaders.
Members of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) did not attend the meeting, but Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur represented his province. Additionally, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, and Balochistan Chief Minister Sardar Zehri were also present.
