Allocation of 1.46 million square meters of land has been approved for affordable housing


Dubai: The UAE government announced the construction of relatively low-cost homes. At the same time, important steps are also being taken in the education and law sectors.
A statement issued by the Dubai government quoted Dubai Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum as saying that we are committed to providing various types of housing opportunities and welcome all proposals that help build a strong and prosperous society that embraces diversity — Dubai for all.
The low-cost housing project is in line with the objectives of the Affordable Housing Policy approved by the council and the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan. The initiative aims to develop more vibrant communities, promote economic growth, create employment opportunities, and provide better access to quality housing and basic amenities for residents of all income levels.
The meeting approved the allocation of 1.46 million square meters of land for affordable housing on which more than 17,000 houses will be built. Its main objective is to facilitate skilled professionals.
Dubai Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum said that Dubai is a city for everyone. The affordable housing project has been launched under the Dubai 24 Urban Master Plan and the Affordable Housing Policy.
He stated that the project aims to provide quality housing and essential amenities to low-income groups, support economic development, and create jobs. The new residential units will be offered at low rents.
In the meeting, Sheikh Hamdan also approved a new policy to further enhance the quality of Arabic language and Islamic studies education in private schools to support the Dubai Education Strategy 2033. This new policy is to help achieve the goal of including Dubai in the top 10 cities in the world in terms of education standards. It focuses on effective teaching methods from early childhood to pre-primary levels.
The Dubai government has approved the allocation of 1.46 million square meters of land for the low-cost housing project, under which 17,080 residential units will be built. This initiative has been taken keeping in mind the skilled professionals.
A statement issued by the Dubai government quoted Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, as saying: “We are committed to providing a diverse range of housing options and welcome all proposals that contribute to building a strong and prosperous society that embraces diversity — Dubai for All”.
The new residential units will be available at low rents, feature thoughtfully designed, high-quality living spaces, and provide access to key infrastructure and basic services.
