Hassan Nawaz failed to pay approximately 9.4 million pounds in taxes between April 5, 2015, and April 6, 2016

(Web Desk): Hassan Nawaz, the son of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, has been declared a tax defaulter in the UK, and a fine of 5.2 million pounds has been imposed on him.
In the latest list released by the UK government, Hassan Nawaz has been labeled as a "tax defaulter."
Hassan Nawaz failed to pay approximately 9.4 million pounds in taxes between April 5, 2015, and April 6, 2016.
The UK tax authority has also imposed a fine of 5.2 million pounds on Hassan Nawaz, and the UK government has shared the details about him on its official website.
Legal experts say that despite being bankrupt, it is still possible for the authorities to recover the fine imposed on Hassan Nawaz, as tax evasion fines are not waived even in bankruptcy under UK law.
In this regard, close legal sources of Hassan Nawaz claim that the "data" published today by the Revenue and Customs Department is an old story. Hassan Nawaz had declared bankruptcy in court, and the old story has been repeated once again.
Legal sources state that the matter is from 10 years ago when Hassan Nawaz had paid all his taxes. Approximately six years later, HMRC began an inquiry into those taxes. Legally, HMRC should not have conducted the inquiry.
Hassan Nawaz's legal sources assert that after a specific time had passed, Hassan Nawaz had taken the stance that the tax demand from the department was no longer valid. He had presented his bankruptcy in court, taking a principled position. Hassan Nawaz's bankruptcy will end on April 29, 2025.
