‘Major reason for spread of measles is failure to vaccinate children’

Karachi: 17 children have died from measles in Sindh over the past two months.
The Sindh Health Department reported that more than 1,100 children have been affected by measles during this period, out of which 17 children lost their lives.
The Sindh Health Department stated that the major reason for the spread of measles is the failure to vaccinate children.
According to the Sindh Health Department, 550 children in Karachi have contracted measles in the first two months of this year, while 10 children in Khairpur, 5 in District East, and one child each in Sukkur and Jacobabad have died.
