Petroleum levy of Rs60 per liter is imposed on petrol and diesel

Islamabad: The details of taxes imposed on petroleum products were presented in the National Assembly.
Petroleum Minister Ali Pervaiz Malik said that 10 percent of customs duty is being levied on petrol and diesel.
He stated that there is no sales tax imposed on petroleum products.
Ali Pervaiz Malik further said that a petroleum levy of Rs60 per liter is being imposed on petrol and diesel.
He also said that petroleum products have been exempted from sales tax from July 1, 2024.
