600 cartons of cigarettes worth Rs80 million were recovered from trucks

Motorway police foiled a smuggling attempt near Sial Mor and seized foreign brand cigarettes worth Rs80 million.
According to a Motorway Police spokesperson, during a joint operation by Motorway Police and Customs officials, three trucks loaded with foreign-brand cigarettes were seized near Sial Mor.
The spokesperson said that 600 cartons of cigarettes worth Rs80 million were recovered from the trucks.
A Motorway Police spokesperson added that the three truck drivers, Majid Khan, Munir Khan, and Ijaz Ahmed, have been arrested and handed over to Sargodha Customs officials. The accused were going to supply the smuggled cigarettes from Mardan to Kasur, Sahiwal, and Khanewal.
