Paris: The oldest person is Europe, who is a French nun, has stunned the world by surviving coronavirus days before her 117th birthday.

Known as Sister Andre, the French nun was diagnosed with coronavirus on January 16 but didn't develop any symptoms.
Following her test reports, Sister Andre isolated herself from other residents of old house in Toulon, southern France until she was fully recovered.
‘I didn't even realize I had it,” she said referring to her having no symptoms.
Sister Andre, who is blind and uses a wheelchair for movement, is now all set to celebrate her birthday with friends.
"She has been very lucky. She didn't ask me about her health, but about her habits. For example, she wanted to know if meal or bedtime schedules would change. She showed no fear of the disease. On the other hand, she was very concerned about the other residents,” said David Tavella, spokesman of retirement home where Sister Andre is living.
As per Gerontology Research Group's (GRG) World Supercentenarian Rankings List, born on February 11 1904 Sister Andre is the Europe's oldest person besides being the second-oldest living person in the world.
