Intermittent rain with strong winds, thunderstorms, and hailstorms are expected in Islamabad and surrounding


Lahore: The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rain with thunderstorms in different parts of the country.
According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rain with strong gusty winds, and thunderstorms is likely in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, upper Punjab, Islamabad, and northern Balochistan today, while hail may also occur in some places.
The Meteorological Department has issued a warning, saying that there is a possibility of damage to vulnerable infrastructure due to gusty winds, hail, and heavy rain on March 26 and 27. Hail and gusty winds can also damage standing crops in the plains of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
During this period, due to moderate to heavy rain, landslides and slippage may cause disruption in traffic flow in Murree, Galiyat, Naran, Kaghan, Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Shangla, Astore, Hunza, Skardu, Neelum Valley, Bagh, Poonch, and Havelian.
Today, intermittent rain with strong winds, thunderstorms, and hailstorms are expected in Islamabad and its surrounding areas.
In the upper districts of Sindh, it is expected to be partly cloudy, with thunderstorms in the afternoon. In Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, intermittent rain with strong winds and thunderstorms and heavy rain at some places has been predicted.
