Lahore team won title for fifth time


Faisalabad: Lahore Blues won the National T20 Cup title, losing to Peshawar Region by nine wickets in the final.
In the match played in Faisalabad, Peshawar Region batted first and managed to score 110 runs for nine wickets in the stipulated overs.
Captain Iftikhar Ahmed scored 34 runs off 33 balls with the help of two fours, and Muhammad Zulkifal scored 32 runs, his innings included four fours and a six.
For Lahore Blues, Salman Mirza took four for 21 runs and Muhammad Irfan took two wickets.
In reply, Lahore Blues achieved the target in 16 overs for the loss of one wicket, Umar Siddique scored 64 off 46 balls with the help of six fours and two sixes, and Junaid Ali played an unbeaten innings of 30 runs with the help of three fours.
The Lahore team has won this title for the fifth time.
Peshawar's Sahibzada Farhan was adjudged the best player of the tournament, scoring 605 runs in seven innings at a strike rate of 189, including three centuries and two half-centuries.
