(Web Desk): A Serene Air flight from Lahore to Jeddah avoided disaster after making an emergency landing due to an engine problem shortly after takeoff.
Flight ER821, which was delayed by eight hours, experienced severe engine vibrations soon after leaving Allama Iqbal International Airport. The cockpit crew quickly noticed the issue and informed air traffic control (ATC), requesting emergency landing clearance.
ATC granted permission, and the pilot safely returned the plane to Lahore airport. Over 200 passengers were deboarded and taken to a waiting area while engineers checked the aircraft for faults.
Preliminary investigations confirmed engine failure, and Serene Air arranged an alternative flight for the passengers.
