Punjab government has not yet clarified whether the ban will be temporary or permanent

(Web Desk): The Punjab Environment Department has imposed a ban on setting up new car wash stations in the province due to concerns over water shortages and potential drought.
The department issued a notification stating that this restriction will be effective immediately. The decision was made to reduce excessive water use amid the ongoing water scarcity.
The department warned that anyone who violates the ban could face legal action under the Pakistan Penal Code. Water shortage is becoming an increasing issue in many parts of Pakistan, and the new ban is aimed at easing the pressure on the province’s already limited water resources.
The Punjab government has not yet clarified whether the ban will be temporary or permanent. More details about the ban are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
