Interior Minister also tasked DG FIA with developing an effective strategy against illegal immigration

Islamabad: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has ordered an effective crackdown across the country against the mafia involved in preventing cybercrimes and human trafficking.
Mohsin Naqvi was met by the newly appointed Director General (DG) of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Rifat Mukhtar Raja and the Director General National Cybercrime Investigation Agency Waqaruddin Syed. Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry and Federal Secretary Interior Muhammad Khurram Agha were also present on the occasion.
The Interior Minister also tasked the DG FIA with developing an effective strategy against illegal immigration.
Mohsin Naqvi said that indiscriminate action should be taken in all four provinces to stop human trafficking and this mafia should be dealt with an iron hand.
He stated that those involved in the nefarious business are playing with the lives of innocent people. All law enforcement agencies including the FIA will have to work together to eliminate the illegal spectrum and organized crime from the country.
He added that cyber security is a new challenge. The capacity of the National Cyber Crimes Investigation Agency (NCCIA) will be increased and officers will be sent abroad for training.
