In attempt to escape, driver rammed the dumper into motorcycles


Karachi: A motorcyclist was injured after a dumper hit him near Power House Chowrangi in North Karachi, after which angry people set several dumpers on fire.
An eyewitness to the North Karachi Power House Chowrangi accident said that the dumper driver was a 17 to 18-year-old boy who was coming to race.
An eyewitness said that the people stopped and beat the dumper driver who was racing. In an attempt to escape, the driver rammed the dumper into the motorcycles, which destroyed two motorcycles, but there were no casualties.

Police say that angry people set 9 vehicles on fire near Power House Chowrangi and 4K Chowrangi.
According to the police, the affected vehicles include five dumpers and four water tankers.
According to the police, all five dumpers were set on fire at Power House Chowrangi, three water tankers were set on fire at 4K Chowrangi, and one at Surjani Baba Mor by angry people. However, the fire on all the vehicles was later extinguished.
Police say that information regarding the accidents is being obtained from all hospitals in Karachi.
Liaqat Mehsud, the leader of the Dumper Association, told the media at Power House Chowrangi that 11 of his vehicles were burnt.
He said that if anyone was injured in the accident, should be brought to the fore, the people who burned the dumpers should be arrested, and the government should provide protection.
On the other hand, a protest was held on Super Highway against setting dumpers on fire at Power House Chowrangi. Dumper drivers dumped the loaded garbage on the road near Sohrab Goth Alasif Square.
Garbage was dumped from several dumpers near Sohrab Goth, due to which the flow of traffic was suspended.
A crackdown was conducted late at night to arrest the accused involved in setting dumpers on fire in Karachi, in which the police arrested several people.
According to the spokesperson of SSP Central, the accused are being identified from CCTV and videos.
SSP Central says that the roads towards Power House are open and traffic is flowing. A heavy police contingent is present, and elements trying to sabotage law and order will not be spared.
Earlier, a motorcyclist died after being hit by a trailer in Karachi the previous day.
According to the police, the accident took place at Vita Chowrangi in Korangi, where the motorcyclist lost his life after being hit by a trailer.
The police say that the number of people killed in heavy vehicle collisions in Karachi has reached 78 in 99 days.
In addition, the number of people killed in traffic accidents in Karachi so far this year has reached 256.
