It clarified that 54 Pakistani students in US will complete their education under program

Washington: The United States has issued a clarification regarding its Global Undergraduate Exchange Program.
The United States recently announced the termination of the Global Undergraduate Exchange Program for Pakistan.
The American Educational Foundation in Pakistan said that after 15 wonderful years, this program will no longer be offered. We know that this news may be disappointing, especially for those who applied this year and were waiting for the opportunity.
However, the United States has clarified that 54 Pakistani students in the United States will complete their education under the exchange program.
It was clarified that the 54 students will return to Pakistan as scheduled, and they will continue to receive the agreed allowances and benefits.
The United States also dismissed reports of the closure of the Fulbright Program as incorrect, saying that the US State Department is reviewing its educational exchange programs around the world to align these programs with the priorities of the Trump administration.
It added that several other US government-funded exchange programs are still available to Pakistani students, including the Fulbright program, whose participants continue to receive their stipends and allowances.
It is pertinent to note that this clarification comes after public concern over reports of the suspension of the Global Undergraduate Exchange Program for Pakistan.
