Fees will be deposited into designated account specified by finance ministry


Islamabad: The fedreal government has increased transfer fees for vehicles and also imposed charges imposed on electric vehicles for the first time in the federal capital with immediate effect.
According to a report, the transfer fee for vehicles up to 1000cc has been increased from Rs1,200 to Rs2,750. For vehicles between 1001cc and 1800cc, the fee has gone up from Rs2,000 to Rs5,500. Vehicles above 1800cc will now be charged Rs11,000, up from the previous Rs3,000.
Electric vehicles will now also be subject to transfer fees:

Up to 50 kW: Rs. 2,500

Between 50 kW and 100 kW: Rs. 5,500

Above 100 kW: Rs. 10,000
Motorcycle transfer fees have also been revised:

Up to 200cc: increased from Rs. 150 to Rs. 550
-
Between 201cc and 400cc: Rs. 1,000
-
Above 400cc: Rs. 1,500
As per the official notification, these fees must be deposited into the designated account specified by the Ministry of Finance (MoF).
