Lahore: Central Secretary Information of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), Qaiser Sharif, visited the Department of Film and Broadcasting at the University of the Punjab, where he called on the Chairperson, Prof. Dr. Lubna Zaheer.
During the meeting, Qaiser Sharif congratulated Dr. Lubna Zaheer on her recent appointment as Chairperson of the PEMRA Council of Complaints, Punjab. He presented her with a bouquet and expressed confidence that, under her leadership and given her extensive experience as a media practitioner and academic, the Council would effectively address public grievances and contribute positively to media regulation.

Both discussed the critical role of media in shaping public opinion and fostering social awareness. Dr. Lubna Zaheer praised the efforts of Jamaat-e-Islami’s Alkhidmat Foundation, particularly its initiatives in the fields of education and social welfare. She acknowledged the Foundation’s valuable contributions to society and commended its commitment to public service.
