Pakistani actor Fawad Khan has made a comeback to the Bollywood industry after nine years with the Bollywood film ‘Abir Gulaal’.
Fawad Khan was last seen in the successful Bollywood film ‘Kapoor & Sons’ released in 2016, after which he, like other Pakistani actors, was absent from the Indian industry due to the increasing political tension between the two countries.
Recently, the first song of Fawad Khan’s film ‘Abir Gulaal’ was released. The title of the romantic song of this film is ‘Khudaya Ishq’ in which the lead actress of the film Vaani Kapoor can also be seen.
According to media reports, industry insiders have claimed that Fawad Khan received INR50-100 million for acting in the film ‘Abir Gulaal’.
On the other hand, Fawad Khan's remuneration for an episode of a Pakistani television drama is Rs1.5-2 million.
Actress Vaani Kapoor's remuneration for the film Abir Gulaal has been said to be around 15 million Indian rupees.
It is pertinent to note that the director of the film 'Abir Gulaal' is Aarti S. Bagdi and it was shot amidst the beautiful scenery of London, while the film will be released in theaters on May 9, 2025.
Fawad Khan's previous Bollywood project
Fawad Khan made his Bollywood debut with the film 'Khoobsurat' opposite Sonam Kapoor in 2014 and also received the Filmfare Award for Best Performance in this film.
The actor later played a cameo in the 2016 film 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil' and a lead role in 'Kapoor & Sons'.
