Asim Munir appreciated professionalism, physical and mental endurance, and high morale of all teams


Rawalpindi: Army Chief General Asim Munir has said that the Pakistan Army has always maintained the rich qualities of character, courage, and capability.
According to the Inter-Service Public Relations (ISPR), the 8th International Team Spirit (PATS) Competition hosted by the Pakistan Army was held at Kharian Garrison from April 14 to 18, 2025. The closing ceremony was attended by Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir as the chief guest.
The objective of this rigorous and intensive 60-hour patrol exercise was to exchange combat skills and share professional experiences among the participants to improve modern combat capabilities.
In addition to seven teams from the Pakistan Army, a team from the Pakistan Navy and teams from 15 friendly countries participated in the exercise, including Bahrain, Belarus, China, Saudi Arabia, Maldives, Morocco, Nepal, Qatar, Sri Lanka, Turkey, the United States, and Uzbekistan.
Representatives from Bangladesh, Egypt, Germany, Kenya, Myanmar, and Thailand observed the exercise as observers.
The exercise was held in the semi-mountainous areas of Punjab.
The ISPR said that over time, PATS has made its mark on the world stage as a serious and competitive military exercise.
Addressing the closing ceremony, Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir appreciated the professionalism, physical and mental endurance, and high morale of all the teams participating in the exercise.
He said that such exercises provide an excellent opportunity for mutual learning, and PATS is an effective forum that combines military capabilities and strategies and promotes team spirit in accordance with the nature of modern warfare.
The Army Chief further said that the Pakistan Army possesses high military qualities like “character, courage and skill”, which have been well proven by our soldiers in the war against terrorism.
At the end of the ceremony, Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir awarded prizes to the teams and individuals who showed outstanding performance in the exercise. International observers and defense attach from different countries also attended the ceremony and appreciated the high arrangements and quality of this professional exercise.
